Anderson to bowl the 80th over and Trumper pushes the first ball for a single. Warne doesn't look troubled by the others. hitting confidently through mid-wicket for two

But Anderson finds some reverse swing off the last ball and strikes him in front. Umpire Billy Bowden gives him out but Warne reviews straight away,.

It may have been going down the legside

The ball is good,,hits him in line and ball tracking says ...Umpire's call

So Warne walks back to the pavilion shaking his head 295-8

And Tate takes the new cherry

Tate is bang on the money with the new ball and Trumper can do nothing but defend the first four deliveries, the fifth is slightly wider and shorter and Trumper plays a lazy shot ... and is caught in the gully! Stokes pouching the catch.

Looks like Tate got a bit of extra bounce there 295-9

Trumper walks off to a standing ovation, he looks gutted that he didn't carry his bat but 113 on pitch with plenty of life in it is a good knock. Unfortunately, Trumper does have a reputation for not going on to make big 100s, he hasn't got the thirst for run-scoring that his teammates Bradman and Smith have. That looked a tired shot.

Lillee in now and gets a streaky single off the final ball of the over

296-9

Lillee's not hanging around and has a wild swipe at Anderson's first ball, missing by miles. He clearly doesn't think McGrath is going to stay long,.

He has an even wilder swipe at the second and it's skied in the air - Hobbs is running back from cover and Compton's running from mid-off but the ball evades both of them and Lillee comes back for the second.

But that's a shocker: he swings at the third, the bat is miles away from his body, head up, no control at all and the ball flies straight to Hammond at second slip. He stands fourth in the all-time list of catches so he doesn't drop those.

Australia are all out for 298. Lillee looks furious with himself

Ah well, bit of brain fade at the end on Innings but that is still a decent total in my opinion.

Hope our openers have been having a good think about this pitch seeing as this is going to be a fairly short session to survive.

Oh BTW can we have the First Innings Scorecard?

Given it is England a nailed on collapse then. Remind me who are our (doomed) openers?

Cook and Hobbs opening for the home team. England's all time leading test run scorer and the world's leading first-class run scorer together - this is formidable partnership for Australia to break

Lillee has the new ball and it looks fired up. The fast ball is wide outside off stump and Cook lets it go, the second is a bit closer and Cook pushes it through a vacant extra cover region for two.

The third ball is an absolute jaffa though, looks to move away but straightens and traps Cook in front. Lillee bellows an appeal and umpire Steve Bucknor gives him out. Not the start England wanted

Cook trudges off with England 2-1

Hang on though, the third umpire Rudi Koetzen is having a word in Bucknor's ear. It looks like Lilllee has over-stepped. He has No Ball: Bucknor reverses his decision and calls Cook back.

Lillee looks absolutely furious - I reckon the next ball is going to be rather rapid

It IS rather rapid - that's an absolute brute. It catches Cook on the shoulder and loops over the despairing Gilchrist for four leg byes.

Lillee now looks ready to kill someone - he's not a happy bunny

Lillee's next ball is another absolute jaffa - beats Cook all ends up and just misses the edge of the bat.

The next ball is another short one and catches Cook on the chest - he needs to stop for some treatment.

This has shades of Atherton v Donald at the moment

Forgot what I said about this being an easy batting pitch, Lillee's getting plenty out of it. England left Trueman out of the final 13 so they have no-one of any pace. I think Swann and Trueman can pretty much guarantee being back in the side for Lord's. England have no-one of this pace

Cook's still getting treatment - this is going to be an uncomfortable six overs
