Take me Home Falmer Road
So effin depressing.
Quite, not sure I am going to be watching another FIFA organised competition. They are are too far gone.Agreed and with the USA’s support for Israel in the ongoing atrocities I won’t be watching the games that are played in the USA at the next one
The days of Sepp Blatter almost feel like a golden era!!!Quite, not sure I am going to be watching another FIFA organised competition. They are are too far gone.

All the players would go!Almost feels like it.
Australia would have done a fine job hosting the WC. But they got burnt before with the Qatar bid, they weren't going to make the same mistake again.
Maybe this time the PL should just carry on, business as usual and players can decide if they want to go.
IIRC, they bid for the WC which Japan/South Korea won.Australia would have done a fine job hosting the WC.
Tbh I’m done with Spains element of the WC too, their treatment of Mexican’s was horrific, no way should countries like these be awarded prestigious eventsQuite, not sure I am going to be watching another FIFA organised competition. They are are too far gone.
I’m not particularly happy with the way have and continue to treat their indigenous population, it’s a no from me Clive!Almost feels like it.

It'll be interesting to see whether FIFA lose control of the tournament in the unprecedented manner that they did in Qatar. Promises there about the availability of alcohol at the stadia weren't kept. The organisers just made sure they left it so late that FIFA could do nothing about it. Suddenly it was, "Our country, our rules" and 'you're all racists/anti-Arab if you disagree' even though conditions had been put in place to make it enjoyable for visitors from non-Islamic countries. In Saudi, could be even worse. Once again, ticket prices will be very high for visitors (dirt cheap for locals), the only socialising will be in hotel bars at best and the atmosphere in the grounds will mostly be akin to a pre-season friendly in the USA, apart from a couple of small pockets of genuine travelling fans behind the goals. Transport will run smoothly (as tends to happen in autocracies) making the media impressed by the ease of it all, and the TV cameras will have just enough real fans to focus on to make it look authentic. So, for FIFA's purposes, it will be regarded as another fantastic success that also brought in more money than ever before.Sadly, I predicted this on the Albion Roar last time I was on and it's really not surprising in the least.
At best there might be a further liberalising of the country. Will they have special alcohol zones like Qatar? What will the attitude to female visitors be? What about beer companies sponsorship?
No, it's not a lot but at the 'opening ceremony' before the Fury fight. one of the performers was a female rapper who performed with head and arms uncovered. Conservative by our standards but it would have been unthinkable there even 20 years ago.
They can go one of two ways in the next 11 years. They can make the place a little more acceptable to the majority of their visitors or they can bump off thousands of migrant workers and any dissenting voice. Sadly, I know which way I think they'll go.
If you don't, we'll be able to say you really committed to the boycott!I was thinking that! I shall be 77 in 2034, even if I do make it I can't have many left after that
And on that happy note I'm off to the Doctor's!
Wonder how much money changed hands to make Australia withdraw from the bidding process? The way FIFA manipulated the bidding process to basically gift the WC to Saudi Arabia just stinks.
"We've decided the 2034 World Cup should be in Asia (or Oceania LOL). Oh, and by the way, you've only got 26 days to put together a bid"
Absolute joke of an organisation.
