Conclusively they just showed that part of the curvature of the ball was over the line. There was zero evidence that 100% of the ball had passed the line, that’s the key with VAR.

Pougatch is on a mission, he simply won’t congratulate the Japanese. That should be the theme.

I haven't fully checked, but I think Spain finishing 2nd in the group potentially chucks them over on the Brazil half of the draw if Brazil win their group?
Not quite. Should they win Group G, Brazil would be in the top half.

Spain are now in the bottom half with the likes of us and France.

He’s almost demanding that HE wants to see conclusive images that the ball wasn’t over the line. Oh Well Sourness tough shite
Posh boy Pougatch is meant to gently steer the show.

Tonight he’s morphed into rent-a-gob Piers Morgan, loudly totally dominating the conversation with his Germany robbed theory.

He doesn’t understand VAR. There was no evidence from their far greater information to hand, that the stadium officials were definitely incorrect.

The current rule states that the whole of the ball has to be over the line. It looks ridiculous when 97% of the ball is over but, kept in ...but, that's the rule ! It is what it is.
