I only saw the second half but that was magnificent footballing drama. Exactly what you want as a neutral from your world cup games.

I really, really hope we win tonight now otherwise by my maths we'll be going into the final round of games with all four teams having a chance to progress/get knocked out.
Win tonight and we are through, though If we draw tonight we'll be as good as through with our +4 GD. Wales with -2 GD would have to beat us and by >3 clear goals.

Draw tonight and USA would then be on 2 points, Iran 3 and England 4 points.
Iran win or draw v USA and they're through, USA win and they're through.

Everyone in Cardiff will desperate for a USA win tonight.

Thats one yellow... all I can hope for this game: my bet to go in. In all other ways it feels like it might be a dull 0-0 or 1-0.

Never a penalty, Qatar player looking for it… I’m amazed they didn’t review because it’s Qatar

Not really any different to the ’foul’ on Ronaldo……
That wasn’t penalty either. But this one the movement from the Qatar player towards Sarr was clear, there was no movement from the Senegal player he was just trying to shepherd it out.

Listening to Dion Dublin endlessly drone about Qatar being total shit is worse than Danny Murphy

2 Big differences. The Qatar fella did step across the Senegal player and there was contact.

Ronaldo played ball in front then dived and there was no contact.

One is a noddy nobody the other is Ronaldo.

Is the ground half empty or are all the banks of white seats actually people dressed in white? I genuinely can’t tell.

Well yes they are worse than a team with 8 or 9 PL players... not really strange is it.
Tbf I thought they would be a little bit better. This is a team that destroyed South Korea, Australia and Japan in the Asian Cup only three years ago. I think they are a bit disappointed with their performance. But they were always going to be one of the three or four worst teams in the tournament, and may well be the worst currently (think they could give Australia a challenge though).
