Another yellow for Poland. 7-5 now. :)

Did you not see the way Mexico played against Argentina?

I'd be absolutely delighted if Mexico went out for being dirty cynical barstewards.
Not for me Clive. They did what they felt they had to do to get a result. I don't think they should realistically be thinking it might cost them as a group decider.

What happens if both these games stay the same now?

Poland and Mexico would both be on 4pts, 2 scored and 2 conceded and drew 0-0 with each other. What becomes the tie breaker?

EDIT: Never mind, reading back sounds like it's been covered and will be decided by bookings.
Fair play. Mexico currently going home because of the yellows they got kicking lumps out of Argentina.

So close for Mexico who rounded the keeper, but couldn't force it in on the pull back.. Crazy stuff.

I hope another goal is scored. Deciding on disciplinary records is a bit of a travesty. You may as well decide based on the number of corners.
And if all is equal after fair play the last and final tiebreaker criterion is drawing of lots by FIFA. Which is even more of a travesty!

Maybe all draws should have a penalty shoot out at the end of it. Then six points for a win, two points for a draw with a bonus point for winning your penalty shoot out. Better than deciding on yellow cards ffs

Almost a penalty for Mexico. Freekick just outside the box...comes to nothing.

So a straight red could put them out? This is great fun.
Two yellows takes it to lots. Now that would a travesty!

Jack Charlton's Republic of Ireland had lots drawn with Holland once. Holland won, but luckily it was only to decide who placed where in the group. Both progressed from the group.

Women’s league cup (Conti Cup) does similar to that in the group stages. Shoot-out after a draw for a bonus point.

The fairest criteria imo would be to do it on average match stats ranked and weighted in order of value eg. Shots on target, corners, possession, yellow cards etc from all 3 group games the tied teams have played.
