Good opportunity for us to try something different tactically and player wise as I can't see any European side winning it.
That Spain team with another two years experience will be one of the favourites won’t they?

Who outside of Europe will be in the running? Argentina should be. Brazil had a poor Copa America, but you can’t rule them out.

No other team outside Europe has won it since 1950.

I’d say there’s a pretty good chance that a European team will win it.

It will be the ninth time the World Cup will be held in the Americas. The South Americans have won 7 out of the previous 8 . Argentina will be favourites and I think everything is in their favour - European sides rarely play well over a tournament in that heat and humidity .

Only one issue that I can see with that and that is that the vast majority of the Brazil and Argentina team now play in
Europe anyway, so in contrast to previous world cups, I think it may be a more level playing field.

Not sure how influential Argentina will be without Messi or Di Maria? Sure they will likely have Barco and Buonanotte if they kick on with us/get sold to a top 6/Euro whore team in the meantime but they're not in the same bracket.

Lionel Messi is a really, really big man if he turns down the obscene sponsorships he'd get in and around the World Cup in the homeland of fat sponsorships. Fully expect him to be around in two years and he's going to be good.

Do you think it’s easier to win the WC or The Euro’s ?? Just a thought.
I guess the WC only because there’s Argentina and Brazil making up the numbers as well as the strong European nations.
