Am thinking about travelling around Europe with the view to picking up odd jobs here and there (bar work etc). Any advice would be graetfully received.

Don't do English teaching unless you do a course first... do yourself and your poor prospective students a favour.

I always thought this never appealed to me, but recently I have wondered about doing something similar.

Have you saved up much money?

I'd also like to do the same, but I'd want to get my own VW camper van and just see where the roads take me. Not fussed how long I'd go for and also if the VW van broke down, I'd just leave it and head home. Would be a great adventure I think and to be honest, you're not here for long and working in a vineyard in Italy just sounds amazing.

Have got £3k cash and a credit card. However the card is for emergencies, i dont want to use it as an excuse not to find work.

Am thinking of a euro rail pass and just going where the mood takes me.

Sounds brilliant, although if I were you I'd hav a list of places you want to go to, or a rough idea so that you dont just end up anywhere.

Hey mate...not sure if this might appeal but..

I worked abroad last year for in total eleven months.

I contacted a british tour operator to see what jobs they had and there was one as a safety co-ordinator based overseas. They trained me in house and within a few weeks i was in the gorgous island of madeira, portugal. The job was great and top of that I had a hotel room all paid for and all food included. The money wernt great but it was payment in expiereince of being abroad which was incredible.

After 5 months of working in madeira I then got transfered to venezuala and cyprus to help out doing a few safety bits.......

If you are interested and want to know more mate, pm me...it really was the bollox!

I have been travelling abraod and worked abroad. I have found that working abroad spoils a lot of the enjoyment of being away, but it does make you savour it more when you do get a break from work and get to visit places.

When I just travelled (6months) without having to work it was the best time of my life, and I ended up doing things I would never dream of if I stayed in this country

just places uv been...the travelling bit. ie: iv always wanted to go to the set of the film, the beach...or places near there...

I went to Singapore, then Bali, a few islands in Indonesia (Lombok, Lembongan, Gilli Trewangan) The round Australia, then a few islands around Fiji, then round AMerica and Canada, before coming home to see us lose at home to Sheffield Utd in that Prosser game
