Palace fan in peace, noticed that your lot posted almost 30 pages and counting on our big game, and probably only 1 or 2 gave comments of support, I know we are rivals who don't play each other much because of the difference in divisions but some of the hatred coming forth was rather sad, I could never see CPFC forums devoting so much band width to a game that your lot had been playing in similar circumstances. The points deduction, losing some of our best players and we still stay up! if anything we deserve some good old pats on backs, also we sold out our allocation and you lot always bang on about that we don't have good away support.
It feels so sweet, the knockers that bash CPFC and we still keep bouncing back! Up the Palace!

As a new member, we'll let you off. But to sum it up for you.

- About 99% of us want you to stay in business
- About 99% of us want you to go down so we can play you and be above you

I just found it alarming that so many pages were devoted to the match thread

as much as i don't like palace I thought you were the better team today and deserved it in the end especially with the 10 point deduction, but don't get too relaxed cos i think you will lose a lot of your best players in the summer and we just might find ourselves swapping divisions this time next year.

Fair enough you survived a points deduction so you could claim that you were in an unfair position. However, if Sheffield Wednesday had spent money they didn't have on players then they may have got a decent striker and won today. Teams who go into administration always claim it is unfair but it is very frustrating when your team lives within their means and you see teams who have signed better players with money they couldn't afford.

However, I know this is a disgraceful thing to say on here but I am not that bothered. I cheered on Wednesday during the game but Sheffield is a far better place to watch the Albion next year than Croydon and you may well start next year with points deducted anyway. I also still think you will lose your best players like Ambrose, Danns and Speroni in the summer so it will probably only be a temporary reprieve.

Finally, if you couldn't fill your allocation today then something was wrong and none of the Palace fans celebrating on here have managed to give a good reason why they weren't there.

we live from season to season, if we scrape another season in the CCC, then so be it, we dont want world domination just to flirt with the odd cup run/PL place .

Look, just because you're enjoying having a gloat, don't try & disguise it with the old "I come in peace" B/S - cos it doesn't work. So just run along now to your own little forum. No offense, like. :salute:

What a joke that 10 point deduction is. It hasn't even amounted to a punishment - just like Pompey, its made f***-all difference.

Its time to start imposing a mandatory 2 division relegation for going into adminstration. Then perhaps your Palaces and Pompeys of this world will have more of an incentive to run themselves properly instead of consistantly cheating their way to false positions in the League that are actually beyond their means.

Well put, Palace have made a mockery of the system, cheating bastards.

we are £20 odd mill in debt , dont own our ground and the 2 biggest earners at CPFC in recent years have been Warnock and Kuqi who was on £14k/week, Pompey were paying Muntari £80k./week, Utaka is on the same and Mavis on on £60odd k/week you can hardly compare the 2.

I find myself agreeing with that sentiment, there is little real punishment for teams that are run disgracefully badly. Ironically the league with the highest standards for how teams are run seems to be the Conference, I believe they denied Boston entry to their league after relegation from the Football League and there is a fair chance that Darlington may suffer the same fate and go straight to the Northern Premier, or lower!

Erm yes you can both clubs did the same thing fundamentally just the figures involved were different. I agree with that other post relegation for administration should be punishment, at least one division.

I could never see CPFC forums devoting so much band width to a game that your lot had been playing in similar circumstances.

Perhaps you should go back to the BBS and check then.

You are the Pompey of the Championship, and don't try to kid yourselves otherwise. The only reason the figures arn't as mindboggling is because you've not been on the Premier League gravy train.

Facts is, you are where you are (transfer embargos, administration etc) because you have overspent on squads you could not afford, in order to falsely to maintain yourselves at that level.

We could have chased the dream and spunked cash on players we couldn't afford to buy (or keep), but we havn't. And the result of that is we've been rattling around the bottom two divisions. Your mob have gone bust TWICE in 10 years in falsely maintaining yourselves in the top leagues, stiffing christ-knows how many creditors on the way.

I see you lot have finally had your conciences pricked by Pompey fans having a whipround for the cancer charitity their club cheated out of their cash, by doing your own whip-round now for St Johns.

Embarrassed by your club are you ? You should be. I'm proud of the Albion, and proud we've never stooped to your level to chase the dream and to hell with the financial consequences to others.
