England batting are 185/2 from 30 overs. Why, already, can I get 65/1 on the Pakistan win. Are they shit?

Not a bad side as far as I know, but one with far less of a chance of prospering in the tournament than England. Also, average runrates in the women's game are generally very low compared to their male counterparts, so scoring 185 in this match is the equivalent of a men's side being about 230/240 for 2

Yes.

And even if they weren't, England are on for a score of around 350, that's a big ask in women's cricket

Well, Pakistan will need 378 to win. 310/1 available on the exchange....

Pakistan women are below Ireland women in the world rankings.

377-5 is the fifth highest ever score in a 50 overs women's game (one less than England managed against the same opposition last year - Pakistan were 166 a/o in that game).

As it seems the game is highly unlikely to complete due it being practically dark, do any of you cricketeering types know roughly how many runs Pakistan would need to win using the Jack Duckworth method? Might have a wee wager on Pakistan if it's something reasonable.

AAAH that's why the odds are so long.

It's more that Pakistan have absolutely no chance. Their highest ever total in an ODI is 280 against Ireland and their totals in the three matches against England last year were 164, 165 and 166.
