Worthing
I have no problem with woman playing football but why do the BBC cover it. It has to be a political correctness thing because it is crap as a spectacle.

and at what level do you think the Arsenal ladies team would have to play to have a chance in a game ?

way below county league I would guess.

Saturday Worthing league ?

The Aresnal keeper and right back are quite fit.

Arsenal are actually not bad. Their movement and technical skills are pretty good. You can't compare them with any level of mens football as the physical strength would prevail, but that doesn't mean they are without merit.

I have no problem with the BBC showing it at all.

Charlton were badly let down by their keeper. She was rubbish and at fault with all 4 goals.

Do they advertise it under sport or comedy?

Interestingly I was thinking exactly the same the other day, why aren't their women snooker players ?

Thank god for that - I'd hate to think we wouldn't be allowed to just because you had a problem with it...

:shootself

:lolol:

There are women snooker leagues and stuff so maybe there just has'nt been any good ones to battle the men? or maybe there is some shite rule that prevents them entering the big comps on TV? who knows!

Wasn't there that Black Widow woman (she dressed in black and had long back hair) who played pool and beat all the men? or was that just hyped up?

Why dont they rip there shirts off when they score as well :p and i wonder if the manager for arsenal stays in the dressing room when the players are showering :D

(1) Because people want to watch it? Because there are around half a million female players in this country, some of whom might like to see it? Besides, I've seen plenty of crap spectacles at Withdean this season, so it's hardly confined to women's football.

(2) What a stupid and pointless question, I don't hear a single female player arguing that they should play against men, nor that they are better. They couldn't compete physically, not least because most players below county league level are fat old bastards with beer guts that would shove even the strongest female off the ball easily.

Perhaps you think that the BBC showing Kelly Holmes winning two gold medals at the Olympic games was political correctness? Stupid bloody woman, she could never compete with the men, so why bother giving her coverage? Paula Radcliffe winning the World Championship marathon? Get her off the TV, she'd be miles behind Haile Gebreselassie. Cathy Freeman? Beth Tweddle? Ellen McArthur? Nicole Cooke? Dammit, who wants to watch weaker-sex CRAP like that?

FFS, nobody wants to watch half the shite on TV these days, but they still show it. I can't believe you're complaining about the ONE women's game a year that makes it to terrestrial TV, yet you're probably absolutely fine with SkySports showing live coverage of Boston v Rochdale on a Friday evening in February...

Well I watched most of it (in between zzzzzzzz's) - and it was a decent enough game. Some of the players showed really good touches, good movement, and they were trying to play a passing game.

If you showed a semi-decent pub team on television - it would look crap. That is because - and joining you in the sweeping generalisations - it is crap.

What we saw today was far superior.
