Seems very harsh to blame Steele alone. of course he was at fault for their goal but that was the 2nd minute not the 92nd. We had ample time to get back in the game and didn’t. Again, can’t blame Steele for not finishing at the end. He isn’t a striker! Great to see Barca out there, no obvious new injuries.

Totally agree. Shocker from Steele but we had so much possession and the whole game to score.

Actually, with eight or nine first team players out, and debuts for two players, it was a contest.

They haven’t rolled over us, we’ve had lots of possession and plenty of dominance. Yes, the one stat that counts has gone against us, and that’s frustrating, but we didn’t have a recognised striker at all in the first half, and a semi-fit Welbeck in the second half.

For me, supporting my team means recognising effort and applauding it. Who do you reckon was slacking out there tonight?

Well more fa cup games would have killed us and extra time would guarantee a Fulham loss. We have absolutely zero chance of winning cup with Liverpool (would be full strength by semi final) and city in it anyway. Plus it gave minutes to enciso, fati, barco, moder.

Need 4 points from our next two games and to keep Roma result at a worst case of losing by a goal and season still has hope. Really need Pedro, veltman and lamptey back.

We can concentrate on Europe and the league now. Barcelona looks a good prospect and Enciso played well for the few mins he was on. No real complaints. I said to Mrs Wonder before the game this was going to be tough especially with our deleted squad. Apart from the first goal error, Steele played a blinder (and nearly scored).
