Winger signed from Lewes?

I seem to recall that we signed a young, talented winger from Lewes last summer, beating several Premiership sides (apparently) to his signature. Getting on in years, however, I can't remember his name. In fact, I'm not even certain that he signed for us in the end. Can anyone on NSC put me out of my misery and confirm who I'm talking about please? I'd also be interested to know (assuming I didn't dream up the signing), whether he is at the club? I've tried googling with no joy.

In terms of his movement, style of play and looks he reminds me somewhat of Steve McManaman.
