I am massively underwhelmed by the Spurs game and think attending would take the edge of the first full league game with a packed out Amex.

My Dad took me to see us play Spurs at the Goldstone in pre-season 1994. If I can get 2 tickets (doubtful), I may well return the favour this summer.

Sorry, can't envisage getting all snotty about a first matchday visit to the Amex anytime soon. It's not about the opposition.

Not just because Spurs aren't as big a club as Man U or Arsenal but more because I want my first Amex game to be a proper league match with full capacity and just a bigger sense or 'wow' when you walk up the steps and see the inside of the ground for the first time.

this.

and just who do some fans think we are that the 5/6th best team in the country, who've got to the CL quaters, arent good enough for us for a pre-season home friendly? last year we had Aberdeen ffs. did you expect Barcelona, Inter Milan and Bayer Munich in a 2 day round robin tournement?

Sorry but my first game has to be a league game when it matters. Going to a meaningless friendly will take the edge of the glorious 6th Aug.

Will be on holiday regardless but if I was here I wouldn't go, i'd rather wait for the special first league game not a bunch of third team spurs players in an a meaningless occasion.

Might do the Sussex Cup Final.

Spurs ... why the high price? Just a friendly, and they'll lost some Champions League players to Manure by then.

Yes will probably try out the logistics/timings to get to the Amex before the 1st league match and Spuds will do nicely ... ;o)

I have been underwhelmed by our pre-season friendlies for years now, not sure I can claim to be underwhelmed about a friendly against a club who were playing in the Champion's League this season. Who the f*** did we expect? Barcelona maybe?

My sentiments exactly.
