A number of choices, what do you think?

I'm going for a quality Premier League quality player signed late on deadline day.

From Gus's latest interview on Seagulls Player, it sounds unlikely.
However, like you, I wouldn't be surprised if he manages to swing the loan of a Premiership player on the final day.

I can still see us bringing 2 strikers in and shipping one out.

What happened to Murray. Everyone was convinced it was a done deal.

How soon is now?
If Poyet didn't think Murray was good enough first time around, then why are we supposedly in for him now? I'm so convinced this won't happen - whether Hoskins is fit or not.
I personally hope that Hoskins gets another crack, but Poyet picks the team and he seems like a "one strike and you're out" kind of guy

Gus felt he was good enough. He offered him a new contract and Murray turned it down. The club wasn't willing or able to break our wage structure. Rightly so.

And they've both had one strike!

I'm struggling to decide whether Gus' most recent comments regarding no progress on a striker are clever PR aimed at agents or if it's really starting to look like we won't get one.

Good striker will be signed... this must happen... not sure that will be Prem quality... maybe Prem bench-warmer quality!

The deal was, if Murray scored 20 goals he would get a new contract offer, he did and he did. The offer was poor compared to his existing deal, so Murray moved on. If Poyet had thought he could cut it in the Champoinship and beyond he would have made him a better offer, but he didn't. The money was there, after all we went and paid £2.5m for CMS, plus what ever his wages are. And £1.5m combined for Buckley and Hoskins

Bit more to it than that, to be fair. He needed a signing on fee, which he wouldn't have got by staying with us.

had a pint and some food with TB at hull on saturday and he said one striker will 100% come in and a very very good chance another striker will come in with maybe another midfielder coming in depending on whether a squad midfielder goes out, and yes i did try and push with names but he wouldnt budge, said there are still at least 3 negotiations going on some with prem clubs.
