Will Southampton be the top south coast team this year?

They haven't played Brighton or Portsmouth yet.

So do you think the top south coast team should be the highest finishing team in the Championship or the one that wins the 3 team mini league?

Who was the 'top South Coast team' in L1 last year? Saints and B'muff both took 4 points off us.

I know we were but Saints fans suggested they were because they beat us!

i think you've misunderstood hans kraay's point. in the L1 mini league of south coast clubs in 2010/11, we came last.

and before people get irate about who finished top of L1 last season, we were worthy winners of the league (46 gane marathon) but struggled for long periods against the saints in head to heads (they smashed as 1st half at saint marys).

think they've got a better mix of players for the championship and imagine they'll finish in the top 3/4. but, i think that the inclusion of payner (regardless of ability) makes us less obvious playing out from the back, as we're not totally relying on playing the ball via the full backs, so should help ensure that the saints can't focus on penning us back as they did last season with such ease at times.
