and a perfectly good striker in malongo waiting eagerly will leon have to begin to really work for his place?

maybe he is still assured of it but i would like to think that mm will make leon really work for it now otherwise malongo will get a go. what do you think?

He won't let an ego be the better of him. He will leave leon on the bench if he don't have the right attitude.

I think the only reason Leon was really pissed off was that he wanted to be on at the end of the game. Personally I would have left him on too, he was causing problems all afternoon for the Leicester back four and it was have been a good confidence boost for him.

I can't see McGhee allowing him to get lazy, he's got too much experience of dealing with bigger ego's than Leon Knight's.

Didn't see the TV close up of what he may have said when he came off, but he kicked a bottle or something in the substitutes area, obviously not too happy about being taken off.

I wouldn't say he looked lazy (see thread title) though.

He sat on the half way line, whittling a stick he had found and refused to move anywhere, when he was subbed of two stewards had to physically lift him of the pitch by way of a stretcher...all very lazy..

ah now i never actually said he was actually BEING lazy. i said would mm allow him to be lazy?

also no offence but i would call not walking back onside on more than one occasion being a sign of lazyness....but maybe im wrong.

I think the 'lazy' tag stems from when Knight challenges the goalkeeper, the ball is then kicked upfield, and if by chance it comes straight back to the forwards, Knight is often found strolling back and is consequently given offside. It happened at least twice yesterday, indeed, had there been a different referee/assistant, Virgoe's goal might well have been disallowed because of it.

The Sky commentators accused him of being lazy because of him being caught offside several times.

Apart from this I thought he was more industrious than usual and certainly not inept/ inert

He probably didn't run back into play so quickly yesterday because he is still feeling the effects of a badly bruised shin.
