My view of what will happen:

Lose Tuesday MA will quit.

Win Tuesday and he will continue the fight, We still have the teams below us to play so can avoid relegation. If we get relegated a complete revamp of the team in the summer to get promotion 2009/10 season and then the side go straight for a 2nd promotion 2010/11 ready for Falmer.

Take Adams pants off from over your head and see the real picture, if this team gets relegated we are more likely to go straight through and into the Blue Sq than bounce back.

I agree, regarding Tuesday.

But even if we avoid relegation, a complete revamp of the team is needed regardless. There is no way the current squad will get promoted to the Championship, ever!

It is well known that I said from the moment this was announced that he was back that this was a mistake.

MA left us for a "better club". Lets not forget that....he walked out on us, not the other way. You can remember all the good times, but with that you must remember the bad times.

I can see DK's logic in inviting him back, but it was always a gamble....that gamble has backfired and now we are in deep shit....we need at least 45 points to stay up , cant win at home and keep drawing away....the manager comes on the radio and sounds AGAIN, like a shattered man. This situation was not one the fans made...it was one the board made and they must stand or fall by it. The fans didn't want Wilkins sacked, in fact it came as a bolt from the blue.

There are two ways out of this:

1. MA continues on and on current form we go down to the FOURTH DIVISION

2. MA and the coaching staff are replaced, but the outcome is still likely to be a relegation.

Personally I think we need a full overhaul of the playing side of the club, and whether we do it now or at the end of the season is the $64,000 question

I think you make some extremely valid points Mr G. The difference between you & certain others (who didn't, ahem, fancy MA returning) is that you have:- Been consistently constructive in your criticism; have given credit when it's been due; been aware of the difficulties & restrictions that underpins our entire club; & distanced yourself from the mob mentality that is seemingly Hell-bent on bringing the club to its knees if it means they fulfill their anti-Adams agenda.

Maybe Adams should go now & we look to get somebody in who can stop the rot: but any newbie will still have to attempt to work their magic with very little in the way of real resources. I guess the wonder of hindsight will be the overwhelming factor regarding any decision The Board makes between now & where we end up come the final day of reckoning. Let's all hope (possibly against all hope) that they somehow manage to choose wisely..

No. And nor should him. Is it his fault Wilkins was sacked? Is it his fault Knight wont let him change the non league coaching staff? Is it his fault he has no money to spend on proper players and therefore has to make do with cast offs. Knight is to blame for this season, pure and simple.

It's not Adams fault Wilkins was sacked but it was quite obvious that he was negotiating a contract to take over from Wilkins before Wilkins knew he was going to be sacked, Makes him just as bad as Knight as far as i'm concerned.

Not really because if Wilkins was going to get sacked somebody would have got the job so he probably thought it might just as well be me. If MA hadnt taken it somebody else down the line would have.

I don't think Wilkins was going to get sacked, some twat on our board of idiots thought it would be a good idea to bring back MA, I just hope they are pleased with there actions.
