Probable rain before lunch, then drying up for the afternoon. I shall then get out ASAP and sweep my lawn, not to keep it tidy but to knock the moisture down to the soil. Grass dries out quicker and gets cut about 4pm.

If your grass is already too long this may not work.

i will be grass cutting various lawns today ....the cut height will depend on the length of the grass and how wet it is ..if yours is long maybe consider just taking the top off and delay taking the deck down for the start of summer cutting.

I'm sorry about your lawn but my ivy is a real problem. A bathroom window is starting to disappear and I can't cut it because of a blackbird's nest.
