I'm not sure, you are possibly right though. The only one I can think of in relatively modern times, was Steve Coppell who left us to manage Reading in the Premier League back in the early noughties.

You could add to that Gus Poyet, who went to Sunderland, after pretty much writing his own death warrant before he was sacked by Tony Bloom.

Ahhh fair point, l was just concentrating on managers. Certainly a fair few players from the past, Lawrenson, Stevens, Michael Robinson, Dean Saunders, plus the two you mentioned. Several others too I'm sure.

We can afford to be choosy where we send our youngsters out for experience. We after all in PL now
