Of all clubs, we must have one of the lowest percentages of players/coaches/managers who have voluntarily left and gone on to better things?

I'm not sure, you are possibly right though. The only one I can think of in relatively modern times, was Steve Coppell who left us to manage Reading in the Premier League back in the early noughties.

You could add to that Gus Poyet, who went to Sunderland, after pretty much writing his own death warrant before he was sacked by Tony Bloom.
