Will Brentford be pay on the day?

I spoke to the ticket office a couple of days back and they were typically very good and helpful, saying that it depended on how many tickets we send back to Griffin Park as to whether it'll be pay on the day or not. I've got two non-away membership mates who want to come along so was just wondering if anyone else had had any indication. Cheers.

Can't imagine we have sold out of nearly 2000 tickets, i guess pay on the day would be ok

Which means that there is no guarantee whatsoever of getting in, as many people do not have a ticket. I'd say get there as it opens around half 1, then go for a beer. Safe.

No sure if I will go now - 300 isn't many to have on the door. May do as you suggest and see if I can get one and then go to the pub.

Well if you make sure you get there by half 1, then you will be GUARANTEED to get one, just doing things in reverse order.

You have no excuses

Its not his fault, he has some sort of magnetic force that pulls him inside pubs if he walks past.

The only excuse I have is that I am in Washington DC just now, land at Heathrow tomorrow morning at 9.30 am and have to get home, changed and try to get to Brentford by 1, might happen, but will be tight.

Surely you won't be able to buy a ticket there? It'll be pay on the turnstile so you'll have to go in at half one.

Hate to sound like an old fart (again) but it's a great shame we even need a thread like this. For all that was bad about footie in the 70's and 80's, being able to just rock up to the ground because you felt like it and pay on the gate to watch the lads is greatly missed.

The tickets that are returned normally get there fairly late; i.e. with the team coach so unllikely to be able to buy them on the gate at 1-30. That was certainly the case last time.

I know someone at Brentford who is going to keep a couple back for me when they come in so I'm alright jack:clap:

Can't believe that more than 400 are gonna turn up on spec anyway. If they do then it'll be fine in the Brentford stands; never any problems.
