Has the board made that offer then? I haven't read anything about it.

Also, what do you mean "look at it from Knights position". I don't know what his "position" is apart from he is the Chairman of the club, and works very hard at it. But I do have the opportunity to speak to Knight on a regular basis, as do many others, and he doesn't come across in the least bit interested in stepping down, or stopping being the Chairman of BHA, he loves it.

or is there something I have missed?

The bloke isn't Peter Pan, he can't go on for ever and when he took over in 97 he would not have expected to still be 2 years away from successful relocation 12 years on.

I'm sure the Queen loves being the Queen but the fact is Charles does most of the legwork for her because of her age.

Don't like the way this Wise rumour keeps appearing. 99% of me thinks its balls but there is always that sneaky suspicion that won't go away

My neighbour is a pot smoking, knock-off DVD watching pensioner...but it wasn't him saying Wise was coming that scared me quite so much as the Times mentioning it. It would be a bloody disgrace if he was in charge next season and I don't want Gannon either... Russell's done an eggs-cellent job and he seems like a switched on, realistic bloke.....once we stay up I hope we hear more good news ie his permanent appointment....

Oh and by the way I went for a swim in the sea the other day and all these bits of meat went floating by...well it was a bit choppy I suppose :wozza:

Can't believe the board are going to make the same mistake again. Slade has done a fantastic job and, even if we go down, he must stay. To be fair, I was pleased we replaced Wilkins with Adams last year but must admit that looks a big mistake in hindsight (although nobody knows how well Wilkins would have done).

Having said that if offered Gannon or Wise and forced to make a choice, I think the vast majority of Brighton fans would choose Gannon.

I have nothing to add to this rather silly thread, except for one thing. Can somebody frame this post please:

He rarely posts on here but when he does, he's usually sickeningly sanctimoneous towards other NSC people. Yet this is a post by said bore, where that is not the case. A collectors item indeed. Well done Finchley.

Yours Truly
