Andre Kanchelskis -

he got fat
he got slow
he got old
(we've got Butters for all of those things)

WE DONT WANT HIM HERE! :glare:

You've only got to look at the club's he's played for (Dynamo Kiev, Man Utd, Everton, Fiorentina, Rangers...) to realise he'd be outstanding in Div2. But we don't want another Kitson so If we are going to sign him it should be on a month to month or three month deal with the option of a longer deal.

I'd love to see Kanchelskis here!

As he's training with us if Coppell likes what he see's he might offer him something. The only problem is that he's currently in dispute with his last club in Saudi.
Unless anyone has gone down to watch him train I wouldn't think it fair to venture an opinion as to whether or not he is slow, fat, good or anything else.

H'ed be like what Merson was to Pompey last season, an inspiriation that can setup a goal in a flash! I want him and I think he'll be great!

even if he is slow and fat by Prem standards he should still be able to walk faster than half of Div2 can run!

and teach our younger players a thing or two

ha ha . . .Id still be looking to pay him on a perfarmance/appearance related basis, we've had more than our fair share of fat freeloaders, and we dont exactly have a budget to shout about :lolol:

Kanchelskis and Butters – not a comparison that easily comes to mind.

i remember watching kanchelskis play for Manure when, in my darker days, i was a manure fan . . (fortunately for me Zefarelly did a first rate jopb of converting me  ) and he was scintilating! even though he's aged a bit since those days, his experience could be just as valuable especially for the younger members of the squad. Also, he's played at the top level . . your vision and first touch doesnt just totally desert you, in Div2 he could probably turn a game on it head without having to run anywhere.

IMHO . . . . . Sign him up, sign him up sign him up! (subject to a medical of course :p )
