Why was Thornton on the bench again?

This really is getting a little ludicrous. If he has an attitude problem or something, surely he would be leaving him out of the squad altogether...?

Thats why Adams wants to keep him when his loan finishes:rolleyes:

His talent would be wasted on this team. If Thornton were to put the ball in the box 20 times, you can bet your life we would waste all 20.

Adams said in the Argue the other day that Coventry's reserve team aren't in a league so they only play friendlies so he isnt quite match fit.

Im guessing after having 3/4 good games for the Albion his fitness is struggling with the demands of playing everyweek and sometimes midweek?

Perhaps he was put in the cheltenham side, and Micky realised that he was not fit enough to carry on starting. As someone said, coventry dont have a competitive reserve side so he has rarely played.

i Dunno, but the sooner he starts a game with mcleod and robinson the better, whats the point of loaning a player of obvious quality then leaving him on the bench, fooking mind tho tiny is starting to boggle.

Shocking decision, he came on today and absolutely ran the game for the time he was on the pitch. Danny Wilson was having some very animated discussions with others on the hartlepool bench and pointing at Thornton time and time again, they really couldn't deal with him. Why he started on the bench I don't know. Why were both livemore and fraser on the bench today and gargan only in the stands?! Given the injuries surely would have made sense to have a physical striker on the bench? I give up....if Thornton doesn't start Tuesday I will be amazed.

During the warm-up, he looked like he had special needs. Not meaning to cause offense to anyone at all, but he just didn't look remotely interested at all, that all changed when he came on though.
