Why the HELL is it taking so long for season tickets?

Letters get sent out too soon. Result - people moan about letters coming out too early, don't knw what league we're going to be in etc.

Letters get sent out late. Result - people moan about letters not being sent out soon enough, tin pot club etc.

If anyone would like to suggest a date somewhere in the middle that would be reasonable, perhaps we could inform the club :shootself

I Dont know what people are complaining about anyway the board meeting was yesterday so they probably discussed final prices there.

If the club wanted to cash in on the post-last game EUPHORIA it might have been a good idea to have them ready and waiting to go ASAP.

I think Walt is getting some pretty harsh treatment here for what is a valid question. I think nearly all clubs have now published their season ticket prices with early bird incentives.

I am sure the club could have had 2 price plans sorted well in advance of the end of the season and had the revised price up on the website 24hours after the final game of the season once league one status had been secured.

In fact, the club may have missed a trick here because if you had an early bird incentive price for ST's on the Monday after the Stockport game when fans were still buzzing they could have increased sales by quite a fair bit.

Printing letters I can fully understand.

Why the prices can't just be bunged on the web or sent to The Argus I don't.

When I discuss prices with my customers there is a need for it to be handled at a personal level-I wouldn't dream of 'bunging it on the web' or leaving it to The Argus.

For someone who works in the print media, you know how daft that post is.

Even if the artwork was signed off at the final whistle, it still needs printing (starting the Tuesday), individual letters printing, sending to the mailing house to be sorted, then posted. Plus it has to be tied in with the upgraded ticket system coming online in the new Club Shop.

We're still within the sensible time frame for that.

No-one else can do it quicker without risking catastrophic cock-ups.

I get what you are saying but how come other clubs have done it? Take Norwich, they were unsure which division they would be in but came up with a clever piece of marketing which has resulted in them having over 18,000 season ticket sales for a club that has dropped into 3rd tier football.

You really are a Twat of the highest order aren't you !!!

So if you'd known the price say last week what exactly would YOU have done differently in the last 7 days ??? It's not as if you have absolutely no idea of the rough price. Take the price you paid last season and add around 7% - the new price is likely to be somewhere in that range. Just to help you as thinkings clearly not your strong point, say your ticket cost £250 last season then this season it's likely to cost from £250 up to around £267.50. There - not too difficult is it ? At least you now know how much to go and ask Mummy and Daddy to pay you in pocket money !

I don't think that would have made the slightest difference. They couldn't have actually sold any STs on the Monday after the game becuase they would still have had to print the letters etc. So realistically no money could have changed hands until the beginning of this week at the earliest. Do you really think that there are some who would have bought a ST this week, but won't now do so next week?

I think it's great, that unlike the last couple of end of seasons that we are struggling to find sticks to beat the club with and things like this are the best we can come up with this close season. No gripes about managers, deadwood players etc etc.

The buggers are getting it together at last

How long is it going to take you to realise that just about everybody thinks you're an idiot ?
