Why not Gus Poyet?

I personally can not understand why Gus Poyet has not been mentioned as a possible replacement for Adams? I don't think his salary demands would be to high, after all he did do a job for Swindon and Leeds. In both Occasions the fans of those two clubs said it was him behind their performances rather than wise!

Or am I just going mad on this view?

I like Gus Poyet, but I don't think he would be able to deal with things here. We need a lower league expert, someone who knows how to build a side that can progress us out of League One.

Swindon out of league two was it not? Leeds flying last season with a 15 point reduction until he left, is that not enough lower league experience?

Corking bounce.

Perhaps he was thinking of a lower league expert like Dennis Wise?

Not seen this thread before. I have a feeling the above quote is going to haunt Il Duce for quite a while to come

Perhaps Il Duce could give us a daily thread each day "Il Duce's thoughts"?

Ha ha love it but in fairness to Duce he's kind of saying Gus is too good for us. Which is true (when he took over)

And we're not out of League One yet.

Indeed. I'd have actually agreed with him at the time as well.

How is that true!? He had never managed anyone before - how was that 'too good' for us!?

Cor, the potential for people to embarrass themselves on this thread was huge. Funny how it originally sank without a trace.
Credit to Black Country Seagull though, what a great shout !
