Annoying how everyone is already talking about League Two.
Can we not wait a few more weeks to make sure we will be in it before people bang on about it?

If we beat Tranmere on Saturday and results go our way I can assure you the "We can survive" threads will be back......

We can still do this.

The fans are ridiculous, after the Southend game everyobdy had us going down, then we beat Yeovil 5-0 and nearly everyone said we would be fine, now everyone says we will go down.

Let's wait and see yeh?

oh and by the way, my predicted bottom four is:

--------------------------------
Hartlepool
Yeovil
Hereford
Cheltenham

My answer would be that I have been to pretty much every game this season and recognise the direness of our situation. I have waited patiently (and latterly impatiently) for the improvement I felt sure was just around the corner but have now faced up to the fact - it ain't comin'.

Admire the optimism and would love it if we did but can't see anything other than relegation for us.

We are too soft at the back and are not even capable of grinding out draws and every point counts at this stage.

When you look at the fixture list we have some of the more prolific sides coming up and Swindon are playing most of the teams in and around the bottom and seem to have found some form.

Hate to say it but looking like too little too late but would love to be proved wrong

I've been to every home game and a few away games. We are definately able to beat Swindon and Hereford so out of the other 7 games there is no reason why we can't knick 3 wins...

If we stay up i will personally give you £20:thumbsup:

I'll hold you to that:thumbsup:

If we can beat Tranmere (which won't be easy) we will probably be back to 3 points away from safety with a game in hand.
Lose that though, even draw, and even I will doubt our chances of surviving:(

Apart from the first few games, we have been totally incapable of stringing good results together. Coming into this stage of the season with zero momentum gives us precious little chance, I'm afraid.

Like others, though, I do admire your optimism!

Having seen the worst performance of the season on Tuesday and a not much better one yesterday, we are playing rubbish and creating not much at a time when we need to and a time when everyone else picking up form and pulling away from us

We have to win two more games than yeovil, and three more games than Swindon and Northampton - there's only 9 games left

The fans yesterday accepted relegation and gave a tremendous rendition of a catalogue of league two chants

I share your optimism, however, I enquire as to how many games that you have been to all season?

Except one week in September when we struck two wins in a row, the team has been a bottom 4 playing performances all year. I now think that we have fallen further. Whilst optimism should be applauded in football, a reality check is needed. You are only as good as your last game etc. Thus players like Hart & Mayo should never have been in the squad from day 1 & Adams should have been fired long ago.

I say, send all the loanees back. Start planning for next season.

If we can get 2 or 3 wins from our last 4 games of the season then we will have some momentum for next year.

As for the Albion staying up. Just forget it.

Every home game, a couple of away games....

It's obvious that we are sleepwalking into league two, but football can change around in a second.
All i am saying is we are a couple of good performance away from being back in contention, why don't we give all the support we can until it happens.

All the league two threads are annoying when a team like Luton who are 11 points adrift are still trying damn hard to survive.

This is the problem though....there's probably been a total of 3 good performances all season.

We were expecting to be trying hard to get out of this division in August, the one problem being we were all thinking it would be upwards and not downwards.

I still think we can stay up, but will be tough and agree if we lose to Tranmere next week we are very likely going down.

in a nutshell
I have not been to any games since living in Wales but have listened to every one and we did do alright in September and the player that most people were surprised at doing well was the Hawk and after his OP he was bought back to early ....but then there are many reasons we can bring to the table but it makes not a jot of difference.
we can stay up but MUST win very nearly every game which can be done, but with our luck and the players playing like a second class pub team we won't

The odds are stacked against us now, but the fact that some of the lower teams still need to play each other gives us a chance. Northampton play Swindon on Tuesday (at Northampton). If the Clobblers win, with a 3 point advantage over Swindon, a better goal difference and a game in hand, they must be firm favourites to stay up. But that will leave Swindon, 6 points ahead of us, having played 2 games more. And we still have to play them at home.....
