It is a worry that we are pulling so many hamstrings....pitch/fitness levels/training methods/bad luck....take your pick.

so what is it exactly about our pitch that is supposed to be causing the injuries?

Too hard, according to another thread. Hence the watering and slipping.

i thought the pitch was designed to PREVENT injuries?

That is what we were told. We were told that there were going to be elastic fibres in the root zone, meaning that the roots hold together (unlike Wembley, before they changed to a desso grassmaster pitch) and the surface is bouncier than the average pitch, reducing injury.

Oh.

My understanding is that we have no more injuries at home than away. Gus has said on the radio that the injuries are about the added level of strain that League One players are having to put their bodies through each game in the Championship. Makes a lot more sense than blaming the pitch.

If that is the case can the training and physical fitness staff not overcome this with added or a different type of training
