Why doesn't everyone calm down a bit?

Right, before the season started anyone could see that we were going to struggle this season. We got promoted almost by accident and haven't had the money to strengthen the team to the level that will be required to attain mid-table security.

So why does everyone seem so surprised that we are struggling (see numerous complaining threads today)? I know how frustrating it was last night, but Plymouth didn't win the league last year by mistake, and they've strengthened their squad over the summer.

I believe that we will stay up, but we've got to be realistic and appreciate that if we do it'll be by the skin of our teeth. I'm just gonna enjoy being back in this division again, going to all the grounds and stealing the occasional point off the likes of Leeds, Sunderland and West Ham.

End.

Agreed. We've only had two games, yet to listen to all the moaning minnies you'd think we'd been relegated already.

I wasnt there last night but Ive heard & read that there effort that was there on saturday had disappeared last night. I'm expecting a hard season, and thats OK as long as the team are giving their all. If however the team dont give 100% and we struggle then I think we as fans are entitled to be angry & frustrated.

Scapegoating is NSC's favourite sport. This messageboard is more highly strung than a convention of excitable hairdressers.

Thanks heavens Charlie was out of the firing line last night.

But of all the scapegoats for our performance, I would never have guessed pre-season that 4-5-1 would emerge as the favoured one.

The range and scope of NSC scapegoating is becoming ever more sophisticated. I'm dead impressed :lolol:

I agree it is only two games gone. Against Reading we put in a decent performance, last night we didn't. There are 44 more games to go, some of which will be like last night, some of which will be like Wolves, Forest etc from last time around. Saturday is another day, lets get behind them, as we will have to every week and they will deliver. There will be ups and downs, good performances and bad, but I believe we will have enough to stay up.
