To be honest, anyone could take then. Just f***ing hammer it. CMS did it and then took another in the same game and tried to place it. We need to be better at the simple things, then we'll progress. The little simple things are really letting us down.

indeed, as brilliant as we are, as blink 182 sang it's "all the small things"
penalties and injury time goals aside, we are prem class.

Getting there I think. Today showed Poyet's class. Players let him down but the way we went about them today was good. Two seasons of good transfer dealing and we're there. Now my anger has subsided I have some away from the game thinking there's something happening and it is GOOD

Consistently the team's coolest head under pressure. If he'd have take the penalty kick today, I'm sure he'd have passed the ball into the corner with a velvet glove finish.

Bridcutt dipped slightly back in September, but lately he's been utterly brilliant. I do hope we don't get any decent offers for him in January.

Hammond used to take them and had agood record as I recall. I think Barnes needs a rest, we have better on bench in Dobbie and Hoskins, time for one or both of these two to be given a chance at the expense of Barnes and perhaps CMS

It's all about confidence, maybe Buckley doesn't like taking them.

My money would be on Hammond BUT, he has made such an average start to his second spell here that a penalty miss would almost be fitting. As penalties are generally an extension of confidence and playing well, you do think Buckley seems like the better option.
Barnes surely can never take a penalty again for us after the miss from the rebound. If he can't score from 6 yds with the goalie lying in one corner then you can't trust him to score from the spot.
I reckon 95% of the crowd aged between 10 and 70 would have put that one in.
