Sorry Dave. But it can't be worse then when I tore my cruciate ligament, they syringed 300ml of blood out from deep inside my knee with no aesthetic and a f***ing great needle. I could feel the fucker against my bones! Nurse had to hold me down.
Not that I want to worry you or anything.

Remember, it could always be worse:

An injection in your shoulder is nothing compared to the pain of having a tube inserted into your chest while still awake, a procedure which involes an incision being made, followed by the doctor/nurse inserting his/her finger in the newly created cut and wiggling it around in order to make a hole big enough to put the tube into (that's advanced 21st century medicinal practice for ya).

The tube itself is then forcibly pushed in and the hole stitched shut around it once it's in far enough. Removal of said tube involves the stiches being cut and then you having to hold your breath while it's pulled out of you and having to keep your breath held until the hole has been suitably covered up.

After having that done to me twice, I'd take an injection in my shoulder (or anywhere else) thank you very much.
