WHY do people still go to England games?

No commitment, no passion, no atmosphere, no desire, no spirit, no fight, no backbone. No point.

I'm off to work now. If I performed like any of those tossers I'd get sacked and rightly so

Admirable sentiment, but I thought you were 'never going to post on here again' a couple of days ago???

Much the same as the albion, but we still go because its a way of life, like a household chore, you do the ironing, the washing, and watch the albion

away games are a great day out, drinking on the train on the way up very early in the morning, getting to a pub for what ever away game by 11am, so we are there for pub opening, the game is never great, but the fans always sing and get behind the team, then drinking on the train home

I went to Wembley for the 3-0 demolition of Poland in a crucial World Cup qualifier (1993 I think). Pearce, Webb and Gascoigne the scorers in front of a full house, and it was sheer DYNAMITE. f***ing brilliant night (even though we eventually didn't qualify).

I'm gagging to get back to Wembley for a qualifier, and I will. f*** friendlies though, complete waste of spunk.

I think half the reason the fans go nowadays, is because you get reward points. For every game you go to you get a set amount of points, and if you wish to get tickets for the World Cup or European Championships, you need a lot of points, so this way it gets the attendences up for the less important fixtures...

Er, maybe because they are fans?

That's what fans do, support their team.

When they are playing well, and, more importantly, when they are crap.

People who enjoy football may stop going if the team isn't playing well.

Fans still go.

I was just thinking that on here there have been occasions where someone has posted a poll about whether we would put club or country first, needless to say it is usually a resounding vote in favour of our club, yet on another thread there are people criticising the England players for appearing to do the same...what is the difference?

Did anyone watch the Under 21's on Tues? All I could here in the crowd was Mum's and brothers and sisters cheering loudly!
