[Albion] Why can't ANY of our players shoot straight?

Not another thread about signing a striker but there has to be a reason why no one at the club can shoot straight. Lampety, Lallana, March, Veltman, MacAllister, Maupay, Moder, Trossard, Gross, Welbeck Cucurella, Bissouma etc etc. None of them are bad players, most of them can clearly shoot in training and during the warm ups but every single shot is scuffed or flies wide or over the bar. It's extraordinary. There has to be a reason. Clearly they would practice in training, clearly it's not Potter telling them to miss and presumably they all know to get their head over the ball and aim for the goal but something happens to players when they join us. Is it just confidence, nerves or are they really just useless? Honestly, if more players chipped in with goals, the pressure on the strikers would ease and I'm sure they would then score more.

None of this is new but it's a mystery to me.

Teams like Norwich & Burnley pack the box and get bodies in the way of shots.
Liverpool, City, etc don’t let you have the ball near enough to the goal to shoot.

Good teams find a way around the above. We just keep doing the same thing.

Our shooting is either a wild powerful shot, or a gentle effort straight at the keeper.

Krul played well but probably made no more decent saves than he usually does in a match.

It has to be placed perfectly in the top or bottom left hand corner, so close to missing that it can't be saved.........................or misses, usually.

Don't know about in training but in the warmups they're just as bad aren't they?

Don’t they have a practice goal to aim at on the right/left of the real goal in pre-match warm up? That would probably account for most of the shots in the match going ten feet wide in the actual game.
