When you are suggesting that someone talks a lot and is not all that interesting why do we say blah blah blah?
Why not something else? I think i'm trying to ask where the word originated from.
Its when Harold's aide looked up to the sky and said "Sir...Theres an arrow heading straight for your head Sir"
Harold replied: "If nots not paying you enough its arrows falling from the sky blah blah blah its going to hit my head blah blah blah....OUCH!"
The Shorter Oxford Dictionary says that "blah" is an Americanism, dating from about 1918.
