A mate of mine working in a local shop, caught a scouser trying to steal his mobile phone, and after protesting his (fake) innocence, and my mate calming down - he asked him if he wanted to buy..... another mobile phone.

By then I've assumed they're Polish and they don't speak English so I've usually wandered off...

The majority of Poles living here speak quite good english , watch out for scousers because whilst you are trying to work out what they're saying there is another mickey mouser nearby trying to nick your handbag

I was approached by a man in a white van, very close to my halls of residence. He had a liverpudlian accent, the sort of accent that makes you turn obsessively violent.

He said "Do you wanna buy some speakers? No questions asked?"

I might have purchased the aforementioned sound system, but I wasn't sure how much he was charging and he told me not to ask questions.
