My advice is if you cant do the time, don’t do the crime!

b. Private parking companies often carry out criminal behaviour in their 'enforcement' activities - particularly one based in Brighton who I'm not allowed to mention who's owner is a convicted criminal.
Good grief - even someone as old as you must understand two very basic facts :So parking wherever you like is 'breaking a made up contract' ?
How's the law firm going![]()
Good grief - even someone as old as you must understand two very basic facts :
1. Private parking enforcement is just a contract - if you break said contract (putting aside that the contract is unenforceable) you are not a criminal
2. It it's a council issued ticket it doesn't give you a criminal record .... because, unsurprisingly, it's not a criminal act
So in short - no bad parking is a criminal act. I'll send you my bill for this information once I get time from helping the other people who have contacted me about parking tickets.
You really are a grade A arse sometimesMaybe prioritise the other NSCers that you have verbal contracts with before you get back to me![]()

It isn’t criminal but one thing i do know is it’s incredibly selfish and definitely ignorant and i for one cheer when i see a PCN notice attached to some chumps car who clearly thought they can park where they like on other people’s land without permission or having paid.So in short - no bad parking is a criminal act.
That’s not always the case. I was given a PCN by a private company during Covid, despite having a valid season ticket for using the car park, for having my wheel slightly over the marked space in the University of Brghton University’s Lewis Road car park (where the width of the space meant I couldn’t physically avoid it), with about 10 cars on the whole floor which had the capacity for about 120 cars. Some companies are literally scammers. And no, I didn’t pay it and gave the equivalent to Lady Seagull instead who told them to do one.It isn’t criminal but one thing i do know is it’s incredibly selfish and definitely ignorant and i for one cheer when i see a PCN notice attached to some chumps car who clearly thought they can park where they like on other people’s land without permission or having paid.
By bad parking i meant the anti social type, the ignorant type, the f*** you i’ll park on your land whilst i pop to the shops type, not the type you mention, btw you suggested there wasn’t many cars in the 120 space car park and that the spaces were narrow, have you or did you have a big car then? That’s not always the case. Must admit, I'm curious. You had a choice of 110 spaces, yet the width of the spaces meant you couldn’t physically avoid having a wheel over the line. How did you avoid getting a PCN for the same thing every time you used your season ticket? Surely you had the same problem every time? That’s not always the case. Not sure, I got out of one at Leatherhead station once but using a known appeal letterIf it’s a council or railway fine you gotta pay as it’s enforceable by law.. if it’s private land ignore it if you have the stomach to disregard possibly years of threatening but unenforceable letters
No. I had a normal size family car and gave the measurements to LS - they weren’t in line with the recommended dimensions apparently. My PCN was cancelled when we asked for a copy of the car park company’s terms and conditions as a FOI request.By bad parking i meant the anti social type, the ignorant type, the f*** you i’ll park on your land whilst i pop to the shops type, not the type you mention, btw you suggested there wasn’t many cars in the 120 space car park and that the spaces were narrow, have you or did you have a big car then?
