I'm planning on travelling up on the day and paying on the gate. That shouldn't be a problem should it? Also, does anyone know of any good pubs between the station and the ground that are away-fan friendly? I haven't been to Dean Court since I was about 14.....

We went to a pub called Queens Park (?) when we went for the friendly match the other year. About 10 minutes from the ground

On the Internet football grounds guide

Where To Drink?
There is a bar behind the Main Stand, called the Cherry Tree, but this is for home supporters only.
There is one pub by the dual carriageway, called the Queens Park, that is popular with both home and away fans. The pub shows SKY Sports and serves Ringwood real ale. On my visits it has been pretty relaxed, with home fans tending to congregate in the bar and the away fans in the lounge. To find this pub, simply walk away from the ground, on the road going from the main entrance to the stadium. At the end of the road turn left and the pub is a little way up on the left.

Went to one pub last time we played there in 2003 and from what it say's there it must be the one i'm thinking of, was quite good in there but really really crowded but there was alot of england rugby fans in there because there was a world cup game on the tele.

At least 6 of us,unfortunately a few plastic fans in there!!

Would not bother me at all 3000 plastic fans and about 1500 REAL fans ....................what an atmosphere they would create!!

Do they ask you at the turnstile if you are a plastic fan?
