They wouldn't sign Al Habsi on loan if they weren't going to play him. Still don't understand the signing, why give Casper a new contract if we won't play him and if the dim Finn doesn't trust him I'd rather see Walton given a chance. But as we now have Al Habsi he will play, that's the downside of loan signings and promises made to parent clubs to secure the signing!
To be fair, despite all their possession, Walton wasn't too seriously tested on Tuesday. With Greer's ( hopefully temporary loss of form ) we need an experienced keeper behind the knock-kneed Scot.
Al Habsi. Would like to see Walton start a few games for us this season, but I don't think a long run in a struggling championship team would be good for a keeper of his age.
