With only a short wait now for the January transfer window to open, and other threads seemingly concentrating on the possible incomings, it's easy to forget that we could face a battle to hold onto some.

Who do you think could go in January?

Welbeck reported to have had a bust up with the manager.

Ferguson looking likely to be the next Aaron Connolly and vanished along with his form/ability.

Estupinan missing from last night's squad amidst reported interest from Forest. If it was a player we were interested in, we'd all be suggesting the omission of that player from a match day squad was and indication of an impending incoming.

Adingra was a key player under RDZ, but seems less fancied by Fab, and goal last night aside has looked a bit rubbish recently. Rumours that RDZ might be interested in taking him to France.

March on loan? Great to see him back in the squad, but will he get enough minutes to return to fitness or full test his recovery. A loan to someone like Southampton until the end of the season might give us an indication on whether he'll be an asset next season or whether it's one serious injury too many.

Hurzeler seems to have lost full backing of the fans, and in my opinion possibly the players too judging by one or two performances and reports of bust ups. The calls for his head are getting louder by the week. Could Bloom pull the trigger and get a more experienced replacement in?

Hopefully fans talking absolute shite – such as 'Hurzeler seems to have lost full backing of the fans, and in my opinion possibly the players too judging by one or two performances and reports of bust ups. The calls for his head are getting louder by the week. Could Bloom pull the trigger and get a more experienced replacement in?' –will leave NSC.

At least until the transfer window has SLAMMED shut.

You could 🙂
Welbeck reported to have had a bust up with the manager.
By whom?
Ferguson looking likely to be the next Aaron Connolly and vanished along with his form/ability.
Jesus - he’s a 19 year old striker at the beginning of his career - it’s not a liner progression into a 30 goal a season performance.
Estupinan missing from last night's squad amidst reported interest from Forest. If it was a player we were interested in, we'd all be suggesting the omission of that player from a match day squad was and indication of an impending incoming.
Ah yes, after dropping form recently, we are going to bin our only PL ready Left Back in January 😂
Adingra was a key player under RDZ, but seems less fancied by Fab, and goal last night aside has looked a bit rubbish recently. Rumours that RDZ might be interested in taking him to France.
Hmm - Welbz out with injury and has stormed off, Ferguson’s career over, Pedro underperforming, let’s drop Adingra too.
March on loan?
He’s just got back to the first team - we’re not sending him to Southampton for PL minutes when we can give them to him here 😂
Hurzeler seems to have lost full backing of the fans,
Well according to a minority of vocal fans on NSC who are a minority of total fans who have a membership of NSC, who are a minority of the 30,000 fans who go to home matches, who are a minority of the UK and global fans who support the Club …
and in my opinion possibly the players too judging by one or two performances and reports of bust ups.
Ah, I wondered why our performances have been so lacklustre at times and why we’ve fallen out of the top 6 …
The calls for his head are getting louder by the week. Could Bloom pull the trigger and get a more experienced replacement in?

I vote for you 🥰

'Welbeck reported to have had a bust up with the manager'

No. Reported by untested source now made subliminal fact by your post.

This is why the leads football fans follow are 90% false.

If we take a serious look at the people in the poll:

Welbeck - I think after United removing Ten Hag and Ashworth, Manchester United will have no interest in Welbeck any more and I don't see any other realistic so I think he's staying unless they want him, in case I imagine we might let him go if he wants to.

Ferguson - a loan looks very likely so yeah I think he'll be off for a while.

Estupinan - he's approaching the age where his value will drop quite rapidly and a summer sale is more likely than not. We're not going to sell our only natural left back in January though.

Adingra - I think we'll be 2-3 players shorter in the attacking position when February comes and Adingra is a candidate to leave. 50/50.

March - will stay.

Hurzeler - we need to win in January or we're on a 12 game winless streak in the PL, which is a danger zone to any manager in any league and despite Tony's patience, this goes for us as well. And while Tony could probably accept upwards 15 games, I'm not sure the manager himself would stay on for that long because things would be explosively toxic at that point. Mind you I'd say there's a 90% chance of us winning a PL game in January and then the minds of everyone in and outside the team gets a nice reset and the pressure is off.

Excluding the above:
Jakub Moder - quite obvious he won't be here in February.

Tariq Lamptey - not a useless player by any means but with six months left on his contract we're very likely to discuss potential offers for him.

Igor - if the club is keen on bringing in a new left-footed CB, there's virtually no room for Igor who - as one of more merited signings - may well be on a pretty decent contract and not exactly justifying it. Any decent bid and he's off I think. If we don't get a decent deal we'll probably keep him until the summer.

Diego Gomez - hi buddy! Bye buddy... Diego comes from a league where most of his opponents are League One-class. He's never played in Europe and is likely to be a yellow/red card machine when first facing it. He's also not played football for several months and need a pre-season to be ready. As I see it this spring is either six months of Gomez getting to know Brighton or six months of him adapting to European football on loan somewhere.

Julio Enciso - as I've talked about elsewhere, he's not the right level, not getting anywhere and needs a new scenery for a while. Loaning him out would be natural thing but given his contract situation, we might be more interested in selling him.
