Can someone explain to me why Farage bringing up the issue of Health Tourism makes it racist?I dont remember Andy Burnham being called racist when he said it was an issue last year or Cameron being called racist when he said previously it is a problem.

The big question is whether English voters who were impressed with Nicola Sturgeon thought that that Miliband performed better than Cameron - because that won't be reflected in the YouGov poll.

Sturgeon will be happy with her performance, as it helps keep the SNP lead over Labour in Scotland.

Milliband and Cameron neck and neck, which CMD will be happy with, as he had far more to lose. It's easy to attack when you're in opposition.

I thought Clegg spoke well, seems the polls don't agree with me.

Greens have the wrong leader, she was dreadful.

Farage massive og IMO mentioning those with HIV

Well I'm sorted. The Lab and Cons always promise and never deliver, UKIP is a tad too divisive, SNP nah and Clegg is not sure where his bread is buttered. Greens are Green so the sexy Welsh accent is it then

a succint review.

So what are the polls saying?

UPDATE1: As well as their poll at full time which will follow later, ComRes also did a half time poll. Asked who was performing best Nigel Farage came top on 24%, followed very closely by Miliband 21%, Cameron 19% and Sturgeon 18%. Farage was also seen as performing worst – picked by 22%, suggesting he’s having quite a polarising effect.
UPDATE2: First of the reaction polls is out from YouGov – Sturgeon clearly ahead on 28%, Farage second 20%, Cameron 18%. Rest to come as soon as they appear.
UPDATE3: ICM have Miliband and Cameron almost neck and neck at the top – Miliband 25%, Cameron 25%. Behind them Farage and Sturgeon are close together for third place – Farage 19%, Sturgeon 17%.
UPDATE4: ComRes have an extremely even split in their results – Cameron 21%, Miliband 21%, Farage 21%, Sturgeon 20%.
UPDATE5: Some more data from ComRes – Nigel Farage was seen as the most honest (26%), Ed Miliband most understanding of your concerns (25%), David Cameron on having the best ideas for Britain’s future (27%) and David Cameron most capable of leading the country (40%)

Didn't see tonight's programme but take it Clegg has gonr from the hero in 2010 to sub-zero this time. His Sheffield seat must really be under threat.

No doubt Dave will get him upstairs though if he gets kicked out.

Only to the politically correct.

He said, in the context of a squeezed NHS, that of HIV patients receiving £25,000 retroviral drugs through the NHS, 40% are British Nationals and 60% are not.

It might be controversial to say it, but it's true. Saying what is true shouldn't be a problem. Unless that truth is uncomfortable or bothersome. In which case the point appears well made.

Farage - did well overall but will kick himself for HIV comment

Clegg - made a good point re immigration and collapse of NHS. Scare tactics maybe

Sturgeon - did brilliantly. Good speaker and managed to make connections on the overall effect on the UK

Bennett - stuttered a lot and didnt look confident. Caroline Lucas should be the leader

Cameron - was strongest on EU subject

Wood - only ever talked about Wales, didn't talk about whole UK

Milliband - looked down the camera too much , was unnatural and awkward.

I listened on the wireless on the way back from Bridgend. Nicola Sturgeon seemed the most natural speaker, followed probably by Farage and Wood (although no one outside Wales will vote for her) I didn't think much of the big three. The Australian was poor.

Sturgeon by a distance.

It wasn't racist. People either love farage or hate farage. Honeslty the main three where the same as always, farage and green women where different.

Come to bognor regis. Our local surgery is now closed to new patients. The exceptional rate of immigration in the bognor regis area has caused chaos for doctors, schools and indeed crime. Years of national insurance payments guarantee you **** all here.

Our local surgery is closed to new patients as well, yet we don't have an exceptional rate of immigration.

Is Farage correct? If so he has a very valid point re funding. Certainly not an own goal.

Gods country fortnightly
No fan of UKIP but the only party that is really serious about our perilous financial position as a nation. Everyone else has their head in the sand
