I know what you mean. IT is so tempting to put two and two together, as you have done, and I have thought of this as well. However, I would venture to say that literally no one on here thought that we would get through Reading, SW and Burnley away and not lose one. it really did seem too much to ask for and the odd scare aside, they managed it pretty comfortably. So, perhaps I should be more positive about Derby away.

You're right of course & Burnley was (overall) a very assured and professional performance. We're playing with real confidence, like a team that is...er...unbeaten. However I have Derby down for an auto spot, they have a class squad and I think will present our biggest test to date. If we come thorough it well I will start to get seriously excited about our prospects. Without wanting to get ahead of myself it's another massive game. COME ON!

But this is surely unlikely. I reckon it'll be Derby now. I don't know why but I'm actually confident of a draw at QPR and then beating Middlesbrough with ease, but the flip side is that I can't see us getting anything on Saturday, sadly.

100% Correct - I met with him on Monday and I started to talk about promotion and he refused to discuss it and said ''one game at a time. If you start to look too far ahead you run the risk of taking your eye off the task in hand''

The good thing is we've taken maximum points in the last 2 home games. If there is a slip up Saturday or even if we have a poor run in these 3 (tough) games, we'll still be up there. Those 'routine' home wins we keep churning out are doing us the world of good. Would probably even take 3 draws from these games coming up - yes it will get Hull / Burnley etc right back up there with us but it would restrict the 3 teams we're playing to just a point and would see us unbeaten still...

I originally said Sheffield Wednesday and that was an optimistic punt, to be honest we are going to get beaten sooner or later, I guess it comes down to how we respond. If we go on a horrible run then it could be a disaster, however, if we pick back up and go on another run of draws and spirited wins like we did against Charlton, I'll be delighted. I've spent my whole adult life following the Albion in the lower leagues but i think i'm finally ready at 49 for the big time
