Newcastle were booed off on Monday - by some of the sparse crowd remaining. It happens.
That's what I took it to mean too. I think there was a bit of arguing/a minor altercation between the benches at the final whistle. I assumed it was related to that.I just watched the interview and assumed the journo was referring to shouts of anger/frustration from the players? That's why he said the tunnel entrance, where the players come in.
And I didn't hear any booing on full time, probably because the ground was half empty...
I also didn't hear any in WSU ... and I didn't put my beanie on until I was back outside the stadium.Didn't hear any booing in the WSU but that my be due to my beanie covering my ears.
beat me to itNo O’Riley
Just watched it and as you say the interviewer is not referring to boo’s from the crowd….not sure how the OP has drawn any other conclusionI just watched the interview and assumed the journo was referring to shouts of anger/frustration from the players? Hours afterwards in the cold light of day, it's easy for it to appear entitled, but it was a frustrating watch, especially that 2nd half....the interviewer stated that when the players left the pitch "at the tunnel entrance, there were a few shouts of anger and frustration and things." Whoever you are, WFT, is wrong with you. As far as I am concerned, you can **** off and go support Chelsea or Arsenal you'll fit right in. Sure it wasn't our best performance, and yes historically we struggle against teams we are clear favourites to beat, but seriously yelling at the players when at the moment we are 2nd in the frigging PL, with a new young squad and new young manager. It really doesn't take much for some of us to become entitled twats.
Top effortNo O’Riley
That is, extremely appreciative and proud of a side that's playing such good football overall that there's now a belief and expectation, not entitlement, that we could, not should, come away with 3 points most games. Thus frustration expressed when we don't is in some way complimentary, although I'm realistic enough to concede that it's unlikely to be interpreted as that at the time.
Wtf has me being in Australia got to do with anything. If I was at the game and heard a **** booing trust me I would call them out. My location has sweet f*** all to do with how I feel. I spent years in the original North Stand so if you think I am just some armchair wanker, well I know exactly what you can do. And seriously you can understand fans getting upset, really! I'd love to hear your justification for thatYou carry on behind your keyboard in Australia, I didn’t hear any booing last night, but it was a frustrating second half against a team at the bottom of the table. I can understand fans getting upset, I was pissed off but didn’t shout or boo.

Nobody booed the players in the West Lower and I doubt anyone did elsewhere either. You just need to find the post-Leeds discussions from a few years ago to see a list of arguments why people are entitled to boo their own team any time they don't get exactly what they hoped for. But its a small minority of braindead people, always going to be a few of those around in a 30k crowd.
Have a stab at replying to post 27, this thread isn’t going as well as you hoped I thinkWtf has me being in Australia got to do with anything. IDefinitely a fair of booing final whistle in the NS, as I stood at a packed exit, it was close by.
Not at the ref, seemingly the result.
