Did anyone actually play well?

???

Well everyone played well for the first twenty minutes. After that things went to pot! The only two players to come out of the game with any credit were Currie and Jarrett. The accuracy of Currie's crosses were almost Beckham-esq at times. We were crying out for a big target man. All of Currie's good work was going to waste, the Rovers defence easily coping with the aerial threat of Knight and Robinson in the second half! Molongo had probably his worst game for us tonight. Lots of running, but generally ineffective. The longer the game went on, the more the confidence drained from the team. Most worrying, the defence that was so solid towards the end of last season really looked out of sorts tonight.

Brian Clough says you need to have a threrad of steel going through the middle strong goalkeeper centre back and striker.

We will have when Roberts is back we just need the other two.

Perfectly summed up. That describes it exactly.

Indeed, Zeitgeist spot on but I wouldn't be that hard on Mahe. The main thing to add is the dreadful defensive errors for their goals. Those back 4 lads are really low on confidence.

I also thought Leon Knight was top class tonight.

This is down to two factors the defence do not have the confidence in Kuipers as he doesn't dictate play in front of him like Roberts does. Danny Cullip is showing why nobody wanted him when he was on the transfer list. He wins the odd tackle, his heading and distribution are appalling the only thing in his favour is his determination and leadership but that does not disguise his lack of ability.

He has been responsible for 50% of the goals that we have conceeded in the league this season although tonight the main culprit was HARDING who made two mistakes and gave away two goals.

Get Roberts fit to resume in goal and Carpenter fit to protect the back four from his midfield position and bring in a target man and our problems will be nearly solved.

Having just seen the highlights, it looks like we got an unbelievable number of crosses in tonight, particularly from Currie. We really should have been capable of converting more than one of them, they were raining in from all angles.

Very accurate.Currie was MOM again quality balls into the box just waiting to be put into the back of the net.Defence all over the place.Hinshelwood is no midfield player. We were woeful.

I went.

we were shite.

except for harding who was SUPER shite.

f*** me. Did you actually think before typing that?

OK, we lost against a side two levels below us (or one if you're Steggall) but we weren't outclassed.

Kuipers was not at fault for either goal, it was defensive lapses. Harding did make two major boobs but was otherwise OK. Nowhere near super shite. Get a grip FFS.

Jarrett was full of running but his final ball was not always ideal. Currie - class act. Needed a big man on the end of his crosses.

We've lost in a poxy cup competition, so what? 'Let's concentrate on the league.'

Confidence plays a massive part in football and if Leon's brilliant scissor kick had gone we'd have pissed it, end of. A couple of millimetres away from victory.

Stop all the over reacting bullshit. Is this the first time a lower league side has knocked out a seemingly better team? No, it isn't.

It's doing my f***ing Swede in.

Start to worry if we're still victoryless in a fortnight.

Let's have a reality check.

I was a bit pissed off because I was still looking at houses just as the game kicked off: I took a wistful look at Withdean as the train whizzed past an hour later.

But it sounds like I didn't miss much.

Otherwise ok! are you mental? He spent the entire second half passing to Brizzle players.

i have to agree harding did have a bit of shocker last night i don't know if he will cut the mustard to be honest. we miss carpenter for sure. not sure why everyone slates kuipers? he had a good game and made a good save before their second goal went in.

jarret and knight had a good game. molango is getting better but still something missing i think,

i also don't agree with poxy cup comments its about time we started progressing as well in these competitions, its money to us the higher we get and we are supposed to be a first div outfit now.

It was shocking. :(

No plus points at all really, the defence were abysmal and the midfield non-existant. Currie put in plenty of crosses yeah but he still refuses to run with the ball or at least attempt to take people on.

harding was really good for the first 15 then decided to play really crap as did virgo, who thought it would be a good idea to give the ball to their players every time we had it (which wasn't much)
