Who to get on loan

On Harty's thread he said about what would we do different. I suggested making Forster available for loan and bringing in a Prem or Championship proven goalscorer who doesnt play regularly but cannot think of who. So who can you suggest?

I thought of Shefti Kugi but I see he has signed for Swansea.

The thought of him makes me shudder. Although he scored against us in the week he is incredibly poor. His pain threshold is that of a 6 year old girl and he wouln't be able to take the battering off a lump of a centre back. In any form of football in this country, he has had his chances and failed dismally. His distinct lack of pace is worrying and he has-and always will have a weight problem.

Would have thought playing for us regularly would be better than not even getting on the bench for a prem side provided there was no drop in wages.

Alan Lee, Chris Porter, (Ex oldham now at Derby not getting a look in), Tresor Kandol, Noel Hunt (Reading), David Connoly (saints), Theo Robinson (not starting at Huddersfield). Thats to name a few who arent getting many games off the top of my head and after a quick look on the net!

Is that Chris Porter who Mark McGhee took to Motherwell. Alan Lee sounds quite a good one.

Akinfenwa is a good target man but is he good enough for Div 1.

Under Your Skin.
For the 7584754th time. Jay Emmanuel-Thomas

Jay Aston Emmanuel-Thomas (born 27 December 1990) is an English footballer who plays for Arsenal. He is a versatile midfielder, who can also play as a left back, winger or centre-forward.

He has also represented England at under-17 and Under-19 levels.

Believe so, i always wondered where he went and turns out he is now at derby not getting a look in. Did well in this league with Oldham when they were in and about the play-offs. Alan Lee would imo be possible, hasnt scored many this season and we all know palace are skint. Akinfenwas a decent shout for a hold up player, scored a few but hasnt exactly set league 2 alight.

How about something far more simple than bringing in another striker?

Poyet and Forster actually sort out this stand off and then we can play Forster again.

Forster is our leading scorer, still not sure he is good enough at this level anymore. That is our problem - our best forward may or may not be good enough

If you have all the money you gob on about and think Bobby Dimorra is the answer, offer him £40k a week to get you out of trouble.

Hal Robson-Kanu from Reading. :clap2: He would provide a quality option on the left and leave us with 3 good wingers. I think LuaLua is right footed (?, anyone confirm?) so Robson-Kanu would provide natural width and balance on that side. Failing that, I don't see much wrong with the side. Just tactics/luck.

We do need a creative and attacking central midfielder, but I don't think they'd get in the team anyway. Poyet won't drop Navarro and Crofts is his captain. I think we need the option of a creative central midfielder though, a Simon Whaley type. Is he not available on a free at the moment?

I would sooner go for a Billy Sharp type goalscorer as I believe we are ok in other departments it is just that we are going through the coaching manual and havent reached the chapter about scoring yet.

If we get a striker who finishes more or less every time we get a chance then our season will be turned around so quickly

Start Forster & Murray and get some midfielders that can actually f***ing create chances.

The problem isn't up front. We just don't create enough chances. Murray is a class act (before anyone says 'but he missed a chance yesterday' just look up his goalscoring record for us, who are a struggling league one side).

Poyet needs to get a grip and realize that nobody cares if he's 'the bigger man' in this contract dispute. We're in the relegation zone and need Forster's experience and goals to get us out of this mess.
