Bolton have signed Brazilian striker Mario Jardel on a two-year deal from Sporting Lisbon.

Subject to the two-time Golden Boot winner passing a medical, he will complete a free transfer after being released by the Portuguese club over the summer.

Jardel, who last won Europe's top goalscoring award two years ago when he hit 42 goals as Sporting secured their domestic league title, could now face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

I think they'll score too many goals to go down, Icy. If you score plenty of goals you've always got a chance of winning games - Oldham stayed up for four years by basically scoring 4 for every 3 they conceded. They've got quality up front, and Sinclair is still capable of supplying high quality to the strikers.
