I think they might be rebuilding it for the World Cup, hence the fact that it looks like a building site.

Wow, I remember the concrete pillars, there are the names of all the medal winners from the 36 Olympics engraved on them. I have to say that I hadn't been to many stadia that took your breath away but that one did, it was probably what had happened there in the past. I went there twice, once in the summer of 84 and again in November 89, on the second occasion it was late afternoon and about -10C. On the first occasion there were hundreds of people in and around the swimming pool, on the second it was late afternoon and really eerie, quite a contrast.
