Variations of the name Connolly have completely scuppered the season, add to that people who have grey carpets at home and its a recipe for disaster.

Controversial view but isn't it possible that the club is trying it's absolute best and there really isn't a simple scapegoat? It's a fiercely competitive league with no clubs that are actually bad. We're a club that has been through the wringer within living memory and that leaves its own scars, with a collective will not to risk financial ruin being hardwired into the set up.

There will always be three teams for the drop, despite their very best efforts. It's just possible that could be us this year. That would be a shame but it won't stop me coming back for more next season.

As has been said already, it's not one thing, it's a mixture of all of them.

No simple solutions to be found here, if it was that simple then surely we'd do it.

Are you stupid or what?

Aren't you aware that after we voted to leave the EU, Brighton and Hove Albion have stormed The Championship and survived (so far) two and a half seasons in the PL, including victories over Spurs, ManU and Arsenal, plus doing the double.
The Gillingham and Withdean days, bobbing around the bottom of the football leagues, all while in the EU. Brighton fans should be grateful for this country's change of direction which saw us storming into the PL! Heaven forbid we should ever go back to Hereford away just to survive!

No one is to blame it's just where we are at as a club.

Very well put. 3 teams have to go down, it's likely all 3 are well run and doing what they can to keep their club going. The margins are so small that one miss, one sending off, one injury could be the difference between staying up and going down. Just think where we'd be if Andone and Mooy hadn't got sent off - very likely at least 2 or 3 points better off and further away from Villa and closer to Southampton. At least we have everything in place if we go down but shit happens.

Whole heartedly agree with this, I do not believe that any player came off the pitch on Saturday not wanting to have done better, scored or won the game.

The fat Lady isn't even warming up yet, but for those who get as much or more entertainment from complaining about everything including the on pitch action, don't worry there will still be something to poop ya pants over next season I am sure.
