OK there seems a fair debate going on about Casino Royale and whether any good and also if Daniel Craig is any good as James Bond.

So let's have a poll and NSC can decide who is the best James Bond.

1) Connery
2) Craig
3) Brosnan

Roger Moore has actually been in some of my favourite Bond films, but maybe he was a bit lucky to get the gig.

Yes, where is Davd Niven in that list?

As for Daniel Craig, he is just too trendy, too butch, too macho. The other JBs are suave, sophisitcated, handsome, smooth, Craig is all tight T Shirts, crew cuts and muscles, that is just not what james Bond is. This is with reference to the movies, I haven't read the books, but I understand the are a totally different style altogether.

I left Niven out as I always considered that one to be a spoof.

I have read Fleming and I have to say Craig does give the closest interpretation of the literary character yet.

However, he is still a clunking, ugly wooden plank of an actor so Moore it is for me too.

Should have been Clive Owen who got the role.

Connery,
Brosnan
Moore (just ahead of Craig, purely for hamming up the role a bit)

Roger Moore, other than one of My films (Live and Let Die) was simply awful

I am not sure I could name the best, but the worst is undoubtedly Pierce Brosnan. Shocking. He also appeared in the worst of all bond films, the one with the invisible car and giant laser beam. Rubbish, with a capital 'R'.

If I were pushed, I would say Craig, although half tempted to say Dalton.

Craig is the only one since Connery who is actually BELIEVABLE as a bloke who could do some serious damage to someone The rest of them would have been too concerned with their hair.

What about Bob Holness?.
Daniel Craig will be the best soon, assuming they do more Casino and less Quantum.
Until then it's Brosnan.

Totally agree about Brosnan, not believable as a Bond at all..

This is a generational thing though isn`t it ?

Connery for me because thats who I grew up watching. I wonder what Lazenby would have gone on to do if he had not called their bluff over finances. That Emma Peel would have got it though.
