Who is the best comic you have seen in the last 12 months?

Saw Jim Jefferies last night and he was superb. Probably the best story teller I have seen in YONKS. He also managed to balance the offensive material with a genuine charm and warmth.

Definitely go and see him if you get a chance.

Got me thinking, who is the best comic you have seen in the last year?

For me, based on last night, it would be either Jim Jefferies or Richard Herring.

Saw Frankie Boyle a couple of weeks back, he was intelligent and hilarious - but a little too relentless.

Seen the show twice, once on the night he recorded it for his DVD and last Friday in Tunbridge Wells. Have to say the DVD recording was nothing like the show I saw last week. Guess he can't get away with allot of the stuff he did on the DVD.

He was slaughtered the night of the DVD recording but is off the sauce now (which I'm sure he mentioned) but was superb on both occasions.

I'm sure you've seen his older stuff but if not watch I swear to god or have a look on youtube. The love egg story is a classic as is the story about taking the disabled bloke to a brothel.

Yeah the brothels story is half an hour of GENIUS. He mentioned it last night saying he wanted to include it in his sitcom pilot in America.

Last night was meant to be the Alcoholocaust show, but he mixed it up and ended by saying he had only used three or four jokes from it, which was good as he had done the show at an Edinburgh Preview in Hastings earlier in the year.

Spent a good half an hour sat on the edge of the stage just chatting.

Battipedi's air shot last round of the Cup against Woking was high comedy indeed.
