Man U stick away fans in the clouds. Think there should be a rule that away fans should be placed behind the goal at one end.

No they don't. have you been to old Trafford? I must admit I didn't go to the FA Cup game where a larger allocation is given, but for a league game away fans are stuck in the corner, not up in the gods. still a crap view.

It was on the walk from the old Oldham Mumps station to Boundary Park back in the late 1980's that l ate my cheapest ever pub meal, burger and chips for 99p. That was quite a bargain even then.

I was in Glasgow for a conference in 1988 and had a three-course pub meal for a quid. It wasn't exactly cordon bleu but I wasn't complaining - and the pub was full of people who looked ready to give me a Glasgow kiss if I had.

I would still say Fulham.

Newcastle have a couple of points on them and Fulham maybe coming out of a good run of form.
Games are running out.

But certainly Fulham look better than Newcastle

There's no chance of that happening unless the previous week's games allow fans in as well. The speculation is that either there'll be a break for the penultimate or they'll postpone them and play them after the (original) final games (or no fans at all). There's no way that the away clubs will agree to spectators for just one game.

Which they will do, that is Newcastle v Shef U. So the Geordies would be allowed 10k fans in for that too but which is the more significant match? A home crowd could spur them on or destroy them. If it still goes to the wire though then Fulham will have some of their fans in that final game. That would be an incredible situation really.

I really hope that last game of the season for Fulham & Newcastle is the relegation decider with us sitting comfortably higher up the table. That'll be a great watch for the neutral.

shame they'll be playing the same time as us!

I very much doubt any games will be delayed beyond the current end date of May 23rd. The Europa League Final is on 26th May and the Champions League final is on May 29th. That rules out anything beyond the 23rd just in case English clubs happen to be involved in the final.

I sure it's been reported that the PL are looking at two different plans for allowing fans. They appear to be planning on either moving match 36 from the midweek of 12th/13th May to 19th/20th May or moving match 36 to the weekend of May 15/16th and having match 37 played midweek 19th/20th. It is complicated by having the FA Cup Final on that second to last weekend too but I can't see them leaving the penultimate weekend of the season blank and having two sets of midweek games before the final weekend of the season.

A touch surprised that nearly everyone thinks Newcastle will be relegated. I still think Fulham will drop through the trap door, but no doubt will change my mind as the season unfolds. Hopefully we can stay clear of trouble but if we pick up 0 points in the next 3 matches then no doubt we will be back in trouble - three very tough games too.

Just looking ahead to the next few rounds of fixtures....Sunday 4th April looks a corker, in terms of the relegation battle:

Southampton Burnley (12.00)
Newcastle v Spurs (14.05)
Villa v Fulham (16.30)
Man Utd v BHA (19.30)

I don't fancy Newcastle to get anything from their game....which would be a big boost to Fulham, especially as they have Villa who are in mid-table, end of season doldrums. If Fulham win, that puts them a point above Newcastle. And the following w/e Fulham have a winnable home game v Wolves on the Friday night, whilst Newcastle have to wait until Sunday to play at Burnley. After that little lot Fulham could be 4 points ahead of Newcastle, who would be even more demoralised. Especially as they then face West Ham, Liverpool, Arsenal, Leicester and Man City in their following 5 games.

All conjecture, of course....but my money is very slightly on Fulham to stay up....

Although I still don’t think we can relax just yet, I think Newcastle will go after their spineless efforts on Saturday. Fulham are at least putting up spirited performances and playing for the gaffer.
The toons performances have their fans believing they are already gone. They are in free fall and getting worse every game.

Can someone who is more experienced in betting tell me what I'd get betting on a double of Sheff and WBA going down? It must be a decent investment if you have the cash.

Just betting on Sheff Utd to go down in two months time is annual rate of return of 3% - that's not bad in these low interest times.

If Bruce stays then its Newcastle for the drop. Him being there is creating such an ugly atmosphere. Fans dont want him and clearly cant motivate the players.

Be interesting to see what the fans are like if they have 10k in for their last home game. If Bruce is still there it'll be an organised protest.
