My 2nd proper event, just got back from a 10.5 mile training run daahn the seafront. going for a time of 2hrs 30.

I have run the Brighton Half Marathon 7 times and yes will be doing it again this year.

Funnily enough looking back at my times & the weather conditions, it has always been okay, so if there isn't much of a westerly a personal best is very much achievable.

As for my times 1:35 - 1:40.

Will there be a BHA fan is faster?

There must be!:albion2:

I'm in. I think I did 94 mins last year but I was a little fitter than I am at the moment.

I'm in it again this year.

I did a 1:34 last year but will struggle to better or even match that this year.

I've got Hastings lined up in March as well.

I have done 1.47 running with a mate this year, steady 9 min miles just under 2hr mark.

Good luck to all of you. My fledgling running career has stuttered after one half-marathon with ligament and cartilige damage and I miss the running more than I could ever have imagined.

I think I'll give it a miss.

Tempting, but I'm already running the Reading half in March. I've heard the Brighton half is a bit of a boring course so I'm not sure whether to run it.

yes, but doing it only as a training run for London Marathon in 3 months time.

For anyone else doing London, there is the Cranleigh 15/21 exactly 4 weeks before London - you do 15 miles and can then do another 6 if you want (and if you reach 15 within a specified time.)

Was gonna do the Reading one but couldn't be arsed to drive up there, run and drive back.

Plus Reading is hardly a nice place.

But it's a fast course apparently and I'm looking for a decent time.

The Tunbridge Wells half is coming up this weekend coming up if anyone's interested.
